Welcome to Glasgow Battalion's 125 Website. As we approach the 125th Anniversary of the Founding of The Boys’ Brigade, in October 2008, it is our hope that we can keep every Officer, Leader and Boy informed of what is going on within the Battalion and throughout the wider Brigade.

A Committee has been formed to plan various events that will have Boy and Officer appeal. Whilst the Brigade nationally has its own plans to mark the 125th Anniversary we feel it is up to Glasgow to lead the way. The Committee is aware of its limitations, accordingly we welcome the input and support of all Officers, Leaders and Boys. Don’t leave it to others - Get involved!

Perhaps we can take encouragement from William Smith, our Founder, when he realised the needs of the Boys around him, he set about tackling the job himself. He did not wait for a grand scheme, nor did he appeal for a lot of money, but, because he had imagination, other men and Boys were soon inspired by his Vision. “It’s time to dream dreams and see our Visions come to pass…”
